It's December!

I can't believe it but we're here.   Amidst all the uncertainties, the Lord prevailed and we are still alive, the world is still in order and God is still in control.   Sure, it's not picture-perfect - but it's near-perfect when you have Jesus.  Remember when Joseph of the Old Testament, the youngest of the twelve, was trying to make sense of the betrayal, the hurts, and the hardships he went through because of what his brothers did to him?  He came to this conclusion that reminds us that God is a master of turning things around for the benefit of his children.  Read this out loud,

I want to thank you for taking the time to come to church.  Our gatherings are not just there to fill time and to make memories, but to build a community that will show the love of Christ.

In December, we will be looking deeper into the Christmas story.   Bring your bible, a pen, and paper to write on.  I promise - I'll print sermon notes for easy note-taking.    I want you to look forward to some unusual time of gatherings.  Unusual because they are not during church time, nor small groups - but just a time to get together and build a community for Jesus.

This month, we highlight our international missions offering.  Your monies donated to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering will go to support our missionaries internationally.   Mark out December 25, Saturday.  It's not only Christmas but our Christmas service.

May you have a blessed week and see you soon again at Living Faith Baptist  Church.   It's never too early to give Christmas greetings, so take the time to send me a Christmas shout-out below in the comments.   Merry Christmas!

In His Service,

Pastor Bong
