Its Simple!

Image
We complicate things.  When I was working at United Parcel Service, we were taught how to manage complaints.  After a seminar, i was given a thick binder entitled, Here Is How You Handle Complaints.  It's ye-q inch thick binder.  I left thst seminar scratching my head.  God simplify things however.  When asked what is the great commandment, Jesus responded, "Love the Lord your God... and likewise love your neighbor...in these two hang all the commandments."  You see God gave 10 commandments to Moses but by the end of the Old Testament Era, the Jews imposed 600+ laws to follow.   Jesus made things simple.  Just like going to heaven, he said there's only one way.  Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Here at Living Faith, we go with simple things.  You come - be blessed.  Now that's simple.  Thank you for coming to Living Faith Baptist Church.  Come back again and be blessed more.

We Want To Say Thank You

Aloha!   I want to thank you for attending Living Faith Baptist Church.   Your presence was a great addition and I could not thank you enough for fellowshipping and studying the Word of God with us.    I want to say thank you in return and would like to ask if we can visit with you in - person or online.   My churchmates and I can visit with you either on Wednesday or Thursday evening.   The visit will not take more than 30 minutes but it is long enough for us to make a connection with you again.    Thank you for your time and I hope we can connect soon.  In His Sevice,  Pastor Bong    July, 20, 2021

An Environment Worth Developing

Image
Thank you for choosing to worship with us at Living Faith Baptist  Church last Sunday.   We are grateful for your presence.   Last Sunday, we learned how to cultivate a meaningful time together as a church.   The Bible says,  For just as  the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body,  so it is with Christ."   (1 Corinthians 12:12).     Despite our differences, God calls us one body.   For us to work together we stated four core values we embrace:  authenticity, mutuality, sympathy, and mercy.   As an authentic member, I pursue what's real.  In mutuality, I prepare not only to receive but also to give.  In sympathy, I feel what others feel and in mercy, I extend forgiveness especially when it is hard.    I hope that these four characteristics guide you in pursuing meaningful relationships.   I hope you consid...

Let's go! Let's grow!

I want to thank you for coming to Living Faith Baptist Church.  Our goal is that you get to know Jesus in a most personal way. Our study focuses on growing in Christ.   In John chapter 3, Jesus received a visit from a religious leader who presumably know and closer to G compared to everyone else.  Interestingly, Jesus knew he was spiritually bankcrupt so He led him to a series of growth discussion:  - be born again to go to heaven - it is the Holy Spirit who will born again a person  - finally, it is through the Son that one can have everlasting life. The succession of topic shows growth and progress.  My prayer is that you grow in Jesus.  We hope you continue to give Living Faith Baptist Church a chance to grow yiu in the faith.   In His Service, Pastor Bong

Thank You For Your Presence Last Sunday

05-13-2021 Aloha!  I am sure you will agree with me that Mother's Day was not enough.  Let me explain.   If the only time we feel very sentimental to our mothers is on that day - then that's not enough.  If the only time we go to church with family together is on mothers day - then that's not enough.  And if the only time we get to plan something big for the family is on mother's day - mmm... i think you get the point.       I would like you to consider Living Faith Baptist Church as a place where we grow mothers, and their families to be followers of Jesus Christ.   We are not a perfect church, but you might agree that we have enough to offer you and your growing family. Our heart is found in what the Apostle Paul said to his young protege, Timothy:  Again, thank you for being with us.   In case you want to catch up with last Sunday's event video , hear the hand chime (15:30), or listen to the sermon (22:00), or...

He is Risen Indeed!! Mahalo!

What a glorious resurrection Sunday celebration we just had.   Beyond the message, music, presentations, food, and fellowship, your presence made all the difference.  Because of people like you, our churches broke the attendance barrier.  It only makes sense to thank you.   In John 20:19-29, the disciples of Jesus gathered after Easter and one of their friends missed the gathering.  The others made an effort to encourage him to come.  He responded,  “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. ”  Kudos to these disciples, this man attended the next week's gathering, and guess who showed up?  Jesus!  Jesus asked him,   “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."  He knelt down and confessed,  "My Lord and My God!"   This is why, for ages,  this ma...

Thank You For Joining Us on Sunday Worship

Image
I want to thank you for joining our worship service.  Your presence was a great blessing.  I would like to personally invite you back to worship with us at Living Faith Baptist Church.  God is doing something extraordinary through our worship and fellowship and I would like for you to be a part.  I truly believe that Living Faith Baptist Church is a "place to belong."     Other than the Sunday worship service at 9:30am, we have small groups that meet throughout the week and a church prayer time on Saturdays, 9am.  Finally, look out for Harvest Outreach (an alternative for halloween) on Oct 31 and future events.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me , or to our leaders, Annie or Johnny , for more information.   May you find strength in this Bible verse Isaiah 40:31,  They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up their wings as eagles.  They shall run and not be weary.  They walk...
