June 7 Friday Social

  Hello!  I am looking forward to connecting with you this Friday at the social.  May I ask for your help to prepare for the event?  Before we talk about food, let's talk about people.  I would suggest that we put emphasis on college and young adults (C-YA) this month.  Pastor Philip, Johnny, and I identified a large number of C-YA within Living Faith and we want them to feel loved by our church family! Our resident C-YA include : Jenna, Joanna, Daniel, Johnson, Theresa, Michael, Christine, Alex, Henry, Vanessa, Riley, Isaac, Grace. C-YA home for summer include : Nathan, Andy, Austin, Kyle, Alissa, Caleb (June 15), Michelle (end of June), and Rachel (July 8). Other C-YA we know include : Cici, Jalen, Abigail, Crista, Alex & Daniel Z, Jason, Cindy..., etc. See, there are lots of C-YA!  Who will you personally invite to the social (besides yourself)?    Now, let's talk about food! Friday Social on June 2!!

Hi Living Faith Ohana, This Friday's social will start at 6:00 pm.  We will experiment a new flow this month to see if it works better: The evening will begin with group activities to break the ice.  Then we will share a meal together as we talk stories or play board games.  During meal time, Pastor Philip will tell us about exciting happenings and service opportunities.   So far, we only have ice-cream and BBQ pork sliders on the menu.  We can use more protein, starch, veggies and fruits.  Please text me what you can bring to the potluck!  If you are not sure what to bring, maybe you can chip in with a friend or send me a text message. Such An Amazing Connection

What an amazing journey we have.  Who would ever think that we all are going to meet in Kalihi, where Living Faith Baptist Church is at?  Some of you have come from different places.   I was born in the Philippines, finished college in California and moved to Hawaii 24 years ago.  Your journey too has been very exciting and now we are in this boat taking the voyage of our lifetime.   The Lord had one design for the church, that is to give glory and honor to the Father above.  I hope and pray that we will do just that.  In every worship, in every ministry, in every fellowship and and in very service, let’s not forget to say “that’s for you Lord.”   If you make this a habit, your next few destinations will become colorful and exciting.  Keep shining for Jesus.  If you have missed our social ministry every first friday of the month, dont miss the big upcoming Easter celebrations.   There are also small groups of your age group throughout the week that you can connect.  Don’t forget to gro

First Friday Social 3/4/22

  March 4, 2022 Living Faith Chapel 6:30 - 8:30 pm Hello Living Faith!  We invite you to our fabulous Social this Friday at 6:30 pm!  This is a new event designed to provide time and space for us to relax, hangout and get to know one another.  The only rule is no gambling and alcohol!  Here are some hangout ideas... You are welcome to bring your own or use the board games at church.  You can make music with your friends.  You can bring your own ping pong paddle, roll out the ping pong table to play a game or two.  You can shoot some hoops.  You can watch a live basketball game on the sports channel and cheer for the Warriors (or your team).  And you can be eating and drinking while doing any of the above!   Talking about food... if you can (no pressure), please bring some food to share.  We do not want anyone to labor in the kitchen as if to feed 5,000 because we are no Jesus! For starters, someone is bringing a half sheet of birthday cake and someone is bringing rice.  Please comment
